Andy Uba’s rough road to Governorship ambition
Senator Andy Uba, the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District is not finding it easy in his quest to rule the state.
His ambition which made him to recently decamp to the ruling All Progressives’ Congress (APC) appears to have run into troubled waters.
The issue of his certificate scandal reported by Sahara Reporters last month which he is yet to deny may have started hunting him as some protesters stormed the National Assembly yesterday to demand his resignation from the hallowed-chambers with immediate effect.
The protesters who claimed to be members of his constituents maintained that by the alleged certificate fraud and other allegation of maintaining foreign account, he was no longer fit to represent them.
The Sahara Reporters had in its report alleged that the embattled Senator forged the West African Examination Certificate, (WAEC) with which he secured university admission in United Kingdom.
Senator Andy Uba had tried to take a shot at securing the governorship of the state in 2003 but his victory was scuttled by the court in favour of the then candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Mr Peter Obi.
