Buhari attends Friday prayers
Amid mounting uncertainty on the health of President Muhammadu Buhari who has not been seen in public for weeks, Buhari this Friday attended Muslim prayers at the Mosque inside the presidential villa, thereby dispelling fears of grave ill health.
Few days ago the President’s wife Aisha stated that Mr Buhari was not as sick as being perceived but he had missed cabinet meetings for three consecutive weeks.
The President who returned from a long medical leave to Britain was yet to disclose the true nature of his ailment, even as he stated that he would be returning to the UK for further care.
On Friday, Mr. Buhari arrived the Mosque at 1:28 p.m., escorted by a retinue of aides.
Dressed in all white attire, he walked briskly from his official residence to the mosque and back, covering about 600 metres.
He stopped to greet people who told him they wished him full recovery, answering ” Amen”.
