Four burnt dead, 12 others injured on Lagos – Ibadan expressway
Multiple vehicles accident on the Lagos – Ibadan expressway have claimed the lives of four persons and injured 12 others on Monday morning.
The accident involving IVECO Truck, White Toyota car and a bus in the fleet of Delta State based transport firm occurred at the ASCON filling station – near the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Camp, stretch of the expressway.
The Sector Commander, Ogun State Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Oladele Clement, said that four persons were burnt to death while the injured 12 others have been taken to the RCCG hospital for treatment.
According to Oladele, Operatives of the FRSC and other traffic and emergency agencies are on ground clearing obstruction and controlling traffic.
It was further gathered that motorists have been advised to use alternate routes out of Lagos via Ikorodu or Sango Ota and same for those connecting Lagos should avoid Mowe end into Lagos.
