Hon. Baballe Ila commissions class room block, launches anti-maleria programme
——–praises Gov Ganduje for prioritising education
The Chairman, Standing Committee on House Services, Honourable Nasiru Baballe Ila Saturday handed over a block of class rooms he built under his constituency projects to the Government Secondary School, Damanawa in Tarauni Federal Constituency, Kano State.
He also used the occasion to launch an anti malaria programme which involved the distribution of treated mosquito nets and drugs to thousands of his constituents.
Honourable Nasiru Baballe also used the ceremony to laud the State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his unalloyed commitment to the upliftment of the standard of education in Kano.
In his words; “your Excellency, I am aware of the giant strides the state government has made in recent times towards revamping education in Kano State. Even your physical presence here today underscores the high level of importance your administration attaches to the education sector and indeed the future of our children in the state.
“No wonder the Nigerian Union of Teachers, (NUT) as part of the activities to mark “Teachers’ Day” celebrations last Thursday in Abuja singled you out for honour with an award of excellence which symbolises your unwavering concern for the welfare and living standard of teachers in this state.
“Your Excellency the class room block we are commissioning today is just my little way of supporting the good works you are doing to uplift learning in Kano State.”
He further disclosed that he had in the past, constructed a block of 3 classrooms at Daurawa Ward, a block of 5 classrooms and a duplex for Islamic school at Tarauni ward and that a Duplex in Islamic School was also constructed at Unguwa-Uku Ward in addition to the provision of I.C.T Centre with A-Z Internet facilities at Fatima Muhammad Girls Secondary School in Gyadi-Gyadi Kudu Ward.

Honourable Nasiru who equally enumerated several other assistances he had rendered to the people of his constituency noted that he has trained thousands of youths in various skills and also provided them with starter packs, while several other constituents have benefited from distribution of Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines, Tricycles, Motorcycles, Cars and employment to Federal Agencies.
He also thanked the Governor for the good works he has been doing in his constituency especially the construction of CBN Quarters road, Hospital at Zoo Road, Provision of Blocks of Classrooms, and the provision of employment opportunities among many others.
