Kanu meets bail conditions
By Titus Agbo, Abuja
At last Nnamadi Kanu has met what observers considered one of the most stringent bail conditions in the history of Judiciary in the country.
Justice Binta Nyako has in granting the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) bail on health grounds last Wednesday prescribed that he produced three sureties, two of whom must be prominent Nigerians with N100million bond each and the third being a highly placed Jewish leader.
As this afternoon three sureties have been provided. They are Tochukwu Uchendu, Jewish Chief High Priest, Immanuel-ElShalom Oka-Ben Madu and Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe.
Having met the bail conditions, Kanu is expected to bread the air of freedom from today except he decides otherwise.
As part of the conditions as pronounced by Justice Nyako, Kanu must not be found amongst the crowed of up to ten gathering. He is also to be not engaged in any form of protest nor grant press interview while on bail.
Any violation of these could warrant the revocation of his bail the Judge stressed.
