Nsukka residents to celeberate Easter with Ikenga hotel rebirth
Residents and holiday makers will on the coming Easter vacation leisure at the remodeled Ikenga Hotels and Resort Nsukka, Enugu state.
Ikenga Hotels Nsukka is the only surviving Ikenga Hotels out of the five that were built by the then Jim Nwobodo administration in the early 80s.
The legend Reborn 56 bedroom hotel now run under a Private Public Partnership, PPP, is being managed by Woodstar, a international consortium of hospitality managers.
Managing Director of Woodstar, Ekene Nnabuihe said the rebranded resort is unique with sordid facilities and serene atmosphere and landscape the is alluring to tourists.
He said the management is deploying 62 staff to the resort he noted is best suited for conferences, seminars, and meetings.
Nnabuihe noted that in remodeling the resort, the management was mindful of the original and solid infrastructure that was used to construct the place in “the good old days” and did not tamper but polished them.
He said the renovation brings fresh look and vast improvement to the hotel with additional meeting room and multipurpose hall that can cater for large conferences.
“There is a blending of contemporary and rustic styling designs to create a unique atmosphere,” said Nnabuihe.
