President Buhari may disolve cabinet, conceeds SGF to S/East
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday presided over the meeting of Federal Executive Council (FEC) in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting which was shifted from Wednesday, Oct. 25 to Oct. 26 started at about 11 a.m. and may be the last to be held with the present ministers said a source close to the presidency.
The President who is holding the list of his new cabinet closely to the chest is believed to have made up his mind on the need to effect far reaching changes that might spring surprises.
President Buhari, the source added was equally considering ceding the office of the Secretary to Government of the Federation, (SGF) to the South East.
The meeting as usual is being attended by the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, acting Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Dr Habiba Lawal, and cabinet ministers.
It was gathered that the 2018 budget might be the sole agenda to be deliberated upon at the meeting.
